Description

After studying at Edinburgh College of Art, Alasdair Banks held positions in Arts Management before becoming a full-time artist in 1998. He focuses on architecture, sport, and horses, creating expressive works that capture movement. His racing paintings have been sold globally through collaborations with 'Equestrian Art International.' He has worked on various projects, including motorsport events and commissioned equestrian bronzes. Alasdair lives in Glasgow.

Frances Clark, an artist from West Kilbride and a graduate of the Glasgow School of Art, creates figurative ceramic sculptures inspired by the Ayrshire coast and her experiences with the landscape. Her work often embodies themes of navigation and connection to the past, with Goddesses and Warriors depicted looking skyward, reflecting a search for guidance. The use of contour lines, patterns from nature, and experimental glazing techniques highlight her deep connection to the environment and the strength of womanhood in her storytelling and mythological representations.
